What is Mehndi?

Henna is practiced in Middle Eastern, African and South Asian cultures. The term Mehndi or "Mehendi" is specific to South Asia. It is a form of body art from Ancient India, in which decorative designs are created on a person's body, using a paste, created from the powdered dry leaves of the henna plant (Lawsonia inermis). The Product

Mehndi Maiden's henna paste, hennagua paste and jagua gel are all home made, 100% natural and safe for your skin, with no added chemicals or PPD

Henna Paste

Henna Paste is made from pure henna leaf powder and leaves an earthy red-brown stain.

Hennagua Paste

Hennagua is a mix of Henna and Jagua juice. It is applied the same way, safe for skin, all natural and leaves a charcoal/brown stain.

Jagua Gel

Jagua gel is made from Jagua fruit juice (found in Central America). It is all natural and safe for the skin. It tends to leave a navy blue-almost black stain.

*Jagua products have the possibility to cause some skin irritation because it is raw fruit juice. All Jagua products are 25% more in cost from the already low prices for henna. Contact link below for more questions and to get your Hennagua tatto!

When you schedule a one-on-one appointment, you'll get the full attention you deserve. Together, we can brain storm drawings of what you may want, and get you uniquely beautified at an affordable price. A natural method is used to ensure you leave with a design that is bold and long lasting.

Parties and Special Occasions

Mehndi Maidens can provide a variety of party packages and customize it to fit your occasion and your budget. Decorations can be anywhere from soft pastel all the way to boho. Mehndi Maidens favorite theme is Bollywood!

Henna Station

This is great for ladies night, public or private or promotional events, where guests will be paying for their own henna at a discounted group rate. This package price can be customized to fit your specific event needs.

Adult gatherings:

Minimum of 5 guests

Flat rate per person is $20 and they can get any design up to a medium size

Family/kid event

This is great for very large family friendly public or private events, and you want to have a henna station that is pay as you go. Prices start out at $7 and go up based on the design the person chooses, priced just like street fairs.

Mehndi Classic

This package is great for any kind of event that you want to add a little something fun for your guests. For example: Child or adult birthday party, ladies night, family get together etc...

The sizes of the henna designs effects the amount of time and amount of people that can be seen within the 1 hour. This package can be customized to fit whatever price/party needs you have!

What you get!

1 hour covers up to 5 adults OR up to 8 kids** (10 adults/12 kids for smaller/simpler designs)
$20 per additional adult/$12.50 per additional child ($12 per adult/$7.50 per child smaller/simpler designs)
Henna for you and your guests, ages 3 and older.
One Guest of Honor design: Child - medium-small design OR Adult - medium-large design.
Design size: Children (3-12) up to a small design. Adult (13+) up to a medium design.
Decorated henna station (upon request)

Bara Bash

Wanting to have a fun party or event but don't want to have to do anything? Mehndi Maidens can do it all (except food). The decorations used are great for a relaxing boho theme, a fun earthy hippie theme or an upbeat Bollywood theme party. Great for Baby showers, Blessing ways, Birthday parties (adults or kids), Bridal showers, Bachelorette parties or other celebrations.

Adults: ages 13 and older

2.5 -3 hours
Henna on up to 5 guests, 13 and older. (10 guests for small simpler designs)
$20 per additional adult ($12 per adult for small simpler designs)
Each guest gets a generous medium design
Guest of Honor gets a medium-large design. (includes maternity)
Decorations (including music and props. boho/bollywood theme)*

Kids: ages 3-12

*Decorations may require hanging things from the wall. Please specify if you do not want tack holes or stick tack/tape on your walls or ceiling. A minumum of an hour will be needed to set up before start time

Bridal, Maternity, Boudoir and Extra-Large designs

Price for unigue and special henna needs from bridal like henna, maternity henna or intricately detail henna designs.

Traditional Bridal henna:

$140 - Hands and arms, up to the elbow. Feet and legs, midway to the knee.

Modest Bridal henna:

$100 - Hands, up to the wrist. Feet, up to the ankle.
